Since the 1960s, Seiko has been known as a pioneer in creating highly accurate instruments for measuring sports times. The new Prospex chronograph is a continuation of this rich history. The advanced Solar caliber 8A50 chronograph allows elapsed time to be measured to within 1/100th of a second, making it one of Seiko's most precise chronographs.
The 1/100th second display is located at the two o'clock position, while the seconds display is located at 12 o'clock and the 1/10th second display is at 10 o'clock. In addition, at the six o'clock position there is a subdial that indicates the hours and minutes, making regular time easy to distinguish from the time measured with the chronograph. The retro-style buttons have been carefully designed to ensure both precision and ease of use, which is an essential feature for any Prospex Speedtimer.
