Since the 1960s, Seiko has been a pioneer in developing highly precise instruments for sports timekeeping. This new Prospex chronograph builds on this rich past. Equipped with the latest Solar caliber 8A50 chronograph, which allows elapsed time to be measured in steps of 1/100th of a second, this is one of Seiko's most accurate chronographs ever.
The 1/100th second display is at two o'clock, the second display is at 12 o'clock and the 1/10th second display is at 10 o'clock. And at six o'clock there is a subdial that displays the hours and minutes. This is to be able to clearly distinguish the time of day from the chronograph time. The retro-style push buttons are specially designed for accuracy and ease of use. A feature that is crucial for every Prospex Speedtimer.
